§ 58-110. Storage lots.

  • (a)

    All vehicles shall be towed to the wrecker service storage lot, unless otherwise directed by the vehicle owner or police officer on the scene. The storage lot must comply with the city land development ordinances or such ordinance of the state and county for the businesses outside the city limits.

    (b)

    Wrecker service storage lots must be within the corporate limits of Snellville or a ten-mile radius thereof, be clearly marked and easily accessible and cannot be shared or sublet to anyone at any time.

    (c)

    Wrecker services shall provide adequate security for all vehicles they place in storage and shall be held responsible for all such vehicles and contents thereof.

    (d)

    All vehicles are to be secured and locked inside a locked garage or fenced lot. A qualified storage lot must have a six-foot chainlink fence or its equivalent. Access gates must be locked at all times when unattended.

    (e)

    Storage lots shall maintain sufficient lighting so the surface of the lot is illuminated to the intensity of at least two footcandles.

    (f)

    Storage lots shall be paved or graveled to the same depth surface as required by the city or county for similar lots.

    (g)

    Fences must be fabricated of sufficient quality to obscure the view of the lot contents and must comply with the city land regulations.
