§ 58-5. Permit required for vehicles for hire.

All persons operating a taxi, limousine or other vehicle for hire or basing such vehicle or office within the corporate limits of the City of Snellville must apply for and obtain a permit for such use from Gwinnett County as required by owners and operators of such vehicles. All conditions and requirements required by Gwinnett County must be met, and the owner, operator or driver must be in compliance at all times. Failure to obtain and display such a permit is a violation of this section and is punishable by a fine of up to $1,000.00, six months in jail or both.

If the permit issued by Gwinnett County expires or is suspended or revoked, said owner or operator must immediately cease operation within the corporate limits of Snellville until such time as the permit is renewed or reinstated.

(2)

Any violation of the conditions or ordinances placed on the owner or operator of such vehicle or required by Gwinnett County shall be a violation of this section and punishable as outlined above.
